Welcome to the Elder Abuse Training Institute

The Elder Abuse Training Institute is a first-of-its-kind center devoted entirely to training professionals from the medical community, legal community, law enforcement, social services, and government agencies about all aspects of elder abuse: detection,  reporting, investigating, prosecuting, caring for victims, and prevention.

Additionally, the Training Institute goes a step beyond existing educational programs on elder abuse by offering multidisciplinary team trainings that address how to work effectively with other agencies, how to conduct abuse assessments, and how to investigate complex cases of abuse.

We tailor our trainings so that professionals who are new to the field, intermediate or advanced may build upon their knowledge and skills.

The Elder Abuse Training Institute is supported by a grant from UniHealth Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization with a mission to support and facilitate activities that significantly improve the health and well being of individuals and communities within its service area.
